"WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!!!!"

Now, when we lived in a house, like normal people, this was no big deal... Well, unless I asked one of the kids to do it!  But that's for a different day.  It's quite a challenge when you're doing a long ocean passage and there's some sort of "smell" coming from under the sink!  So, what do you do??  Please keep in mind that there are rules when dumping trash over board, so check with your local authorities and find out what those rules are in your area... 

This is what we do...


Food scraps get tossed over as fish food...

Paper products get torn in tiny tiny pieces and then go over...

Plastic rides with us until we get to a port and dispose of them properly...

Now, if we're in a marina, we just walk to the trash can and dump it in!  Nice 'n easy!!  But when you're out in the middle of the ocean, there's no convenient trash dispensers!  There has been some places to recycle though out the islands that we've dropped our anchor at, but not many.  Just remember most of us boaters try and be green & clean...
