Living on a boat does not mean that you can't talk to your love ones at home! There are more and more options out there today then there was 2 years ago! So, I'm thinking it's only going to get better and better!! We use Skype. It works well enough for my husband to 'work' from, yes, he still WORKS! Poor guy!! We also have a local Dominican Republic phone number. In whatever country you're in, you can get a SIM card for your cell and buy minutes. At least that's been our experience so far! Just be sure to bring your passport when you're off to purchase one! So, if you need a shoulder to cry on, mom or dad's words of advise, or share a good story, family and friends are only a phone call away!!
